family history
About our coat of arms
Our family crest dates back to 1783 when the Autro-Hungarian empire was ruled by Emperor Joseph II, who bestowed the title of Edler (nobleman) to our family’s ancestor in 1783. Anton von Remiz aka Antonius nobilis de Remiz (the family’ paternal grandmother’s family name) was a doctor of law and Hofadvokat (Court Barrister) in Vienna. The coat of arms was rediscovered and handed to our family by Maltese Knight Viktorijan Demšar in 1990 in his native parish.
Meet our cats
We love pets. But we’ll have to kindly ask you to let your cat or dog stay at home when you stay with us. Our house and gardens are already ruled by these two feline siblings who don’t like competition.
